1. General
These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of Post Office (P.O.) Boxes provided by Post Aruba N.V. ("Post Aruba") to customers ("Renter"). By submitting a rental request, the Renter agrees to these terms in full.
2. Rental Period
The P.O. Box is rented on an annual basis. The rental year commences on the date payment is confirmed by Post Aruba. At the end of each rental year, the Renter must renew to retain access to the assigned box.
3. Payment & Reservation
Upon submitting a rental request, Post Aruba will assign an available P.O. Box and place it on hold for 5 (five) business days. Payment of the annual rental fee must be completed within this period. Failure to pay within 5 business days will result in the automatic release of the assigned P.O. Box, and the reservation will be cancelled. Post Aruba does not guarantee re-assignment of the same box.
4. Access & Key
Following confirmed payment, the Renter may:
- Request delivery of the P.O. Box key to their registered address; or
- Collect the key in person at the relevant Post Aruba office.
A key deposit may apply and will be communicated at the time of payment. Lost keys must be reported immediately. A replacement fee will be charged.
5. Use of the P.O. Box
The P.O. Box may only be used for the lawful receipt of mail and parcels. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Use for illegal purposes or receipt of illegal items.
- Subletting or transferring the box to a third party without written consent from Post Aruba.
- Use that causes damage to Post Aruba property or disrupts operations.
6. Termination
Post Aruba reserves the right to terminate a P.O. Box rental at any time in the event of non-payment, violation of these Terms, or for operational reasons. The Renter will be notified in advance where possible.
7. Liability
Post Aruba is not liable for loss of, damage to, or delay in delivery of mail items beyond its reasonable control. Post Aruba assumes no responsibility for mail held at a closed or expired P.O. Box.
8. Privacy
Personal data collected during the rental process is stored and processed in accordance with the applicable privacy legislation of Aruba. Data will only be used for service delivery and communication related to the P.O. Box rental.
9. Disputes
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Aruba and subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Aruban courts.
